Cthulhu is a mythical creature created by famed sci-fi novelist H.P. Lovecraft which made its debut in his short story “Dagon.”

An early sketch and description of Cthulhu by Lovecraft features a rubbery body with bat-like wings and has inspired countless artists to create their versions of the “Deep One.” Here, Cthulhu is interpreted by sculptor Shinya Akao (HEADLONG) as the awed God but in the innocent body of a baby! The sculptor captures both the creepy and cute sides of H.P. Lovecraft’s iconic creature! A truly unique vision of the great beast!
